Building the Board

The compact Max Race was constructed from Red Paddle Co.’s patented MSL Fusion technology. Between the bombproof core and RSS battens in the rails, this board has unrivaled rigidity and stiffness. The top deck is covered in smooth embossed EVA foam for added grip and comfort. Riders can slide their foot back and gain control overturns with the diamond grooved kick pad.

Three embroidered carrying handles are located on the board, one in the center and two at the nose of the board for pulling the board in and out quickly during races.  Double nose runners help slice through the water keeping you on the surface gliding along past your competitors. There are two leash point options; one on the tail and one in the center of the board. The premium inflation valve is located at the tail of the board and under it is the removable center fin. The fin bolts into a US fin box and is swept back to reduce drag and avoid catching debris when you’re in the heat of a race.

What’s Included

Included with the Max Race is the standard Red Paddle Co accessory package. You will receive a specially lined backpack for keeping your board and accessories safe in extreme temperatures, the backpack has padded straps and integrated wheels for easy transport.

In addition, you will receive a Titan dual-chamber pump for fast inflation, a repair kit and a waterproof phone pouch; all handy and necessary accessories.

Red Paddle Co Max RaceOn the Water

The Max Race may look small but it sure is mighty. The board feels stable and balanced under your feet and takes almost no effort to paddle. The narrow body allows the board to glide swiftly high atop the water covering a longer distance in shorter time. Flat water or chop are no challenge for the Max Race, the RSS battens keep the board rigid when turning and the double nose runners save you from nose diving. The deck pad offers plenty of grip when water comes on board and the diamond grooved kick pad is a nice feature; you can feel where your foot needs to go. Not only does the Max Race inspire confidence in young or new riders but will also foster independence in young riders as they can manage the board by themselves from starting line to finish.
